Basic Wound Management
This course covers the lifesaving techniques of bleeding control using wound packing and tourniquets, management of chest wounds, and splinting. This is a hands on class and we provide all the materials needed!
The Basic Wound Management Course is a four-hour program covering the treatment of chest wounds, bleeding control with tourniquet use, and basic splinting techniques. It is geared for the general public to provide lifesaving techniques while waiting for professional help to arrive. This is based on current tactical medicine and emergency medical guidelines. There will be practical skills stations which include wound packing, tourniquets, and splinting.
